It’s official: After more than four decades on the air, Matt Siegel is retiring from his morning show gig on Kiss 108.
The station announced Wednesday that Siegel will be replaced by Billy Costa and Lisa Donovan, who have been co-hosting the show since September.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such incredible people over the years,” Siegel said in a statement. “I’ve had a blast and I’m going to miss everybody.” Costa and Donovan first started working together on the morning show in September, following the departure of former co-host TJ Taormina.
“We are so excited to be taking over the morning show on Kiss 108,” Costa and Donovan said in a statement. “We want to thank Matt for his many years of service to the station and we wish him all the best in retirement.” Siegel has been with Kiss 108 since its inception in 1977, and has been the host of the morning show since 1983. He is also the voice of Tommy Tobin on WBZ-TV’s “The Early Show.” “It’s been an incredible ride and I’ve loved every minute of it,” Siegel said. “I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family and friends, and to doing some things that I haven’t had a chance to do in a while.” Siegel’s final show will air on Friday, December 22
